Payment to the farmer.
PaddyPay helps rice cooperatives track alternate wetting and drying (AWD) while the crop is growing, preserve evidence that can be checked independently, and share simulated carbon revenue by a published rule.

What the prototype proves
- Every simulated sensor reading carries an EIP-191 device signature.
- Daily Merkle roots were anchored in a local smart contract. The public snapshot preserves the roots, signatures and proofs; one altered reading fails cryptographic verification.
- A plot can be registered only once per season; a duplicate claim was mined and reverted.
- Only green plots were finalized. Simulated dVND is allocated 70% farmer, 10% cooperative, 20% project developer.

Scope and assumptions. This is a public snapshot of a hackathon prototype designed around VM0051 v1.1 requirements. The local chain is not reachable from this deployment. All readings, images, token payments, and the VND 150,000/tCO₂e sale price in the An Giang season are simulated or assumed. A separate case study shows published 2023 field measurements from Spain; those measurements were not collected by PaddyPay and do not support payouts. The simplified QA3 estimate deducts 15% uncertainty and omits N₂O adjustment, sampling uncertainty, and independent verification. No carbon credits are issued by PaddyPay.
